On the 99 names

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah has ninety-nine names — one hundred less one. Whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise." (Bukhari & Muslim). The list circulated here follows the well-known narration of Tirmidhi; other hadith experts consider the list illustrative rather than fixed, and scholars note that Allah's names are not limited to 99 — these are the ones taught to us.

To "enumerate" (iḥṣāʾ) them means more than counting: learn them, believe their meanings, and let them shape your speech and your behaviour. Start with one each day — return to the same one if it's moving you.
