The Withholder, whose every 'no' is either wisdom or protection.
Al-Maani stands between His servants and what He has not written for them, and between His servants and untold harm. Known from the Prophet's ﷺ dhikr after every prayer: none can withhold what He gives, and none can give what He withholds.

From the Quran & Hadith
From the root mim-nun-ayn (م ن ع), which carries the classical Arabic connotations of withholding, preventing, and denying access, and equally of defending and protecting by barring the way. The double sense is the Name's secret: Al-Maani withholds gifts by wisdom, and withholds harms by mercy, and the second withholding is the unsung half of every safe day.
The dhikr after every prayer
Al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba (may Allah be pleased with him) recorded that the Prophet ﷺ said after every obligatory prayer: 'There is no deity except Allah alone without partner... O Allah, none can withhold what You have given, and none can give what You have withheld (lā māniʿa limā aʿṭayta wa lā muʿṭiya limā manaʿt), and the fortune of the fortunate avails nothing against You' (Sahih al-Bukhari 844). Five times a day the ummah renews the monopoly: giving and withholding, both His, both closed to appeal elsewhere.
The mercy inside the no
The Quran frames withheld provision as calibration, not neglect: 'And if Allah had extended provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny in the earth; but He sends down in measure what He wills' (Quran 42:27). Some gifts are withheld because they would be poisons wearing gift wrap: the job that would have consumed the family, the wealth that would have consumed the deen. Every believer, given enough years, learns to thank Al-Maani for at least one prayer He refused.
Wa law basaṭa-llāhu-r-rizqa li-ʿibādihi la-baghaw fi-l-arḍi wa lākin yunazzilu bi-qadarin mā yashā'.

Mā yaftaḥi-llāhu li-n-nāsi min raḥmatin falā mumsika lahā, wa mā yumsik falā mursila lahu min baʿdih.
“Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy, none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds, none can release it thereafter.”

Your biography includes an invisible volume: everything Al-Maani kept out. The accident rerouted, the marriage mercifully prevented, the deal that collapsed before it could ruin you, the illness that never found you. Gratitude usually audits only the received; the mature believer thanks equally for the withheld, sight unseen. And when a door stays shut despite your knocking, righteousness, and tears, revisit the Name on the door. It is not Al-Bakheel, the miser, no such Name exists; it is Al-Maani, the wise Withholder whose refusals are protections in progress. Keep asking, because asking is worship; but trust the pending file to the One who has never once withheld arbitrarily.
