There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. Glory be to Allah, all praise belongs to Allah, there is no god but Allah, Allah is the Greatest, and there is no might nor power except through Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent. My Lord, forgive me.
For one who wakes in the night. Whoever says it and then asks for forgiveness or makes du'a is answered.

Truly, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of night and day there are signs for people of understanding: those who remember Allah standing, sitting and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: "Our Lord, You did not create all this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Our Lord, whoever You admit into the Fire You have truly disgraced, and the wrongdoers will have no helpers. Our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith, saying, 'Believe in your Lord,' and we believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, wipe away our misdeeds, and take our souls in the company of the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break Your promise." And their Lord answered them: "I will not let the deeds of any one of you go to waste, male or female; you are of one another. Those who emigrated, were driven from their homes, were harmed in My way, fought and were killed, I will surely wipe away their misdeeds and admit them into gardens beneath which rivers flow, as a reward from Allah. With Allah is the best reward." Do not be deceived by the movement of the disbelievers through the land. It is a brief enjoyment, then their refuge is Hell, and what a wretched resting place. But those who are mindful of their Lord will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding there forever, a welcome from Allah, and what is with Allah is best for the righteous. And among the People of the Book are some who believe in Allah and in what was sent down to you and what was sent down to them, humble before Allah, not selling the verses of Allah for a small price. Their reward is with their Lord. Allah is swift in reckoning. O you who believe, be patient, outlast others in patience, stand firm, and be mindful of Allah, so that you may succeed.
The Prophet ﷺ recited these closing verses of Surah Al 'Imran when he rose in the night.

The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. Each believes in Allah, His angels, His books and His messengers: "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the final return." Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. It gains whatever good it has done and suffers whatever evil it has done. "Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not place on us a burden like the one You placed on those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelieving people."
