أَدْعِيَةُ الْحَيَاةِ الْيَوْمِيَّةِ
Short supplications for the turning points of the day — eating, sleeping, travelling, leaving and entering your home.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdulillahi-lladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhi-n-nushur.
All praise is for Allah who gave us life after He took it, and to Him is the resurrection.

Alhamdulillahi-lladhi at'amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah.
All praise is for Allah who fed me this and provided it for me without any might or power from me.

Open this dua →بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Bismillah, tawakkaltu 'ala-llah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
In the name of Allah. I place my trust in Allah. There is no power and no strength except with Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said whoever says this is protected, guided, and the devils turn away from him.

Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala-llahi Rabbina tawakkalna.
In the name of Allah we enter. In the name of Allah we leave. And upon Allah our Lord we rely.

Open this dua →أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa-llahu wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh. Allahumma-j'alni mina-t-tawwabina wa-j'alni mina-l-mutatahhirin.
I bear witness there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. O Allah, make me among those who turn to You in repentance, and make me among those who purify themselves.
The Prophet ﷺ said whoever completes their wudu and says this, the eight gates of paradise are opened for them.

Open this dua →سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَٰذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَىٰ
Subhana-lladhi sakh-khara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila Rabbina la-munqalibun. Allahumma inna nas'aluka fi safarina hadha-l-birra wa-t-taqwa, wa mina-l-'amali ma tarda.
Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, we could never have accomplished it on our own, and surely to our Lord we are returning. O Allah, we ask You for righteousness and mindfulness on this journey, and for the kinds of actions that please You.

Open this dua →لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
La ilaha illa-llahu-l-'Azimu-l-Halim, la ilaha illa-llahu Rabbu-l-'arshi-l-'azim, la ilaha illa-llahu Rabbu-s-samawati wa Rabbu-l-ard wa Rabbu-l-'arshi-l-karim.
There is no god but Allah, the Most Great, the Most Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth and Lord of the Noble Throne.

Masha'Allah, la quwwata illa billah.
What Allah has willed. There is no power except with Allah.
Said to ward off envy (ayn) when admiring something — a child, a possession, a view.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
Indeed we belong to Allah, and to Him we return.

Subhanallah, wal-hamdulillah, wa la ilaha illa-llah, wa-llahu akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
Glory to Allah, and all praise is His, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, and there is no power or strength except with Allah.
Often called the five treasures of paradise. Useful as a default dhikr anywhere.
