Waman aAArada AAan thikreefa-inna lahu maAAeeshatan danka wanahshuruhuyawma alqiyamati aAAma

And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed [i.e., difficult] life, and We will gather [i.e., raise] him on the Day of Resurrection blind."

Whoever turns away from My remembrance, his is a life of hardship, and We will raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection.

Sahih Muslim 1162

Fast of 'Ashura

Siyamu yawmi 'Ashura'a ahtasibu 'ala-llahi an yukaffira-s-sanata-llati qablah.

Fasting the day of 'Ashura, I hope from Allah that it expiates the year before.

Narrated by Abu Qatadah.
