Duas for exams & knowledge.
Before a test, a lecture, a book

The Quran teaches one supplication we are commanded to keep asking for more of: knowledge. Before exams, study sessions, presentations, or any pursuit of understanding — these are the words to say.

Dua 1 · Duas from the Qur'an

Rabbi ishrah li sadri, the dua of Musa

Rabbi-shrah li sadri, wa yassir li amri, wa-hlul 'uqdatan min lisani, yafqahu qawli.

“My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease for me my task, and untie the knot from my tongue so they may understand my speech.”

Quran 20:25-28

Musa said this before confronting Pharaoh. A go-to before hard conversations, presentations, or asking for something difficult.

Dua 2 · Duas from the Qur'an

Rabbi zidni 'ilma

رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Rabbi zidni 'ilma.

“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”

Quran 20:114

The only thing in the Qur'an we are taught to always ask more of. Say it before studying, before reading, before any pursuit of understanding.
