Al-A'raf 7:31

Ya banee adama khuthoozeenatakum AAinda kulli masjidin wakuloo washraboo walatusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeen

O children of Adam, take your adornment [i.e., wear your clothing] at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess.

Eat and drink, but do not be excessive. Indeed, He does not love those who commit excess.

Sahih al-Bukhari 615, Sahih Muslim 437

The first row

Law ya'lamu-n-nasu ma fi-n-nida'i wa-s-saffi-l-awwal, thumma lam yajidu illa an yastahimu alayhi la-stahamu.

If the people knew what reward is in the call to prayer and the first row, and they could only obtain it by drawing lots, they would draw lots.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah.
