That day

One ayah. One hadith. One name. Quiet things, in their place.

Today's verse · gratitude
Ibrahim 14:7

Wa-ith taaththana rabbukumla-in shakartum laazeedannakum wala-in kafartum inna AAathabeelashadeed

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.'"

If you are grateful, I will surely increase you. Gratitude is compound interest on blessings.

Today's hadith · dua
Jami' at-Tirmidhi 1905 (hasan)

Three duas that are not rejected

Three supplications are answered without doubt: the dua of the oppressed, the dua of the traveler, and the dua of the parent for or against their child.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah.
