And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass?
And what can make you know what is the steep path? The freeing of a slave, or feeding on a day of hunger.
Khayru-l-ashabi 'inda-llahi khayruhum li-sahibih, wa khayru-l-jirani 'inda-llahi khayruhum li-jarih.
The best of companions with Allah is the one who is best to his companion, and the best of neighbours with Allah is the one who is best to his neighbour.
