The rights of children over their parents
Children are an amanah, not an extension of a parent's pride. Their faith, safety, dignity, and time all carry rights.

Responsibility comes before authority
The Prophet ﷺ said that every person is a shepherd and every shepherd will be asked about the flock in their care (Bukhari 893). Parenthood gives authority, but it first creates accountability before Allah.

Teach with the life you live
Protecting a family from the Fire begins with worship that children can see, questions they are allowed to ask, and repentance they can witness when a parent is wrong. A command carries more weight when the home demonstrates it.

Dignity is one of their rights
Correction should not become humiliation. Do not compare siblings, mock a weakness, or make affection conditional on achievement. A child should know that the door home remains open while right and wrong remain clear.
Second khutbah
After the brief sitting, return to the centrepiece and gather the message into one clear request. Remind the congregation that the point of this khutbah is not simply to understand the rights of children over their parents, but to carry one honest change into the coming week.
O Allah, protect our children, make faith beloved to them, and make us parents whose example brings them nearer to You.
