An-Nahl 16:78

Wallahu akhrajakum min butooniommahatikum la taAAlamoona shay-an wajaAAala lakumuassamAAa wal-absara wal-af-idatalaAAallakum tashkuroon

And Allāh has extracted you from the wombs of your mothers not knowing a thing, and He made for you hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect] that perhaps you would be grateful.

Allah brought you out of the wombs of your mothers, not knowing a thing. He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, that you might be grateful.

Today's hadith · perspective
Jami' at-Tirmidhi 2322 (hasan)

The world is cursed, except…

Ad-dunya mal'unah, mal'unun ma fiha, illa dhikra-llahi wa ma walah, wa 'aliman aw muta'alliman.

The world is cursed, and what is in it is cursed, except for remembrance of Allah and what brings one closer to Him, and a teacher or a student.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah.
