Al-Ma'idah 5:35

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooittaqoo Allaha wabtaghoo ilayhi alwaseelata wajahidoofee sabeelihi laAAallakum tuflihoon

O you who have believed, fear Allāh and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.

O you who believe, fear Allah and seek the means to Him, and strive in His path, that you may succeed.

Today's hadith · self-mastery
Sahih al-Bukhari 6114, Sahih Muslim 2609

The strong one controls themselves in anger

Laysa-sh-shadidu bi-s-sura'ah, innama-sh-shadidu-lladhi yamliku nafsahu 'inda-l-ghadab.

The strong one is not the one who overpowers others in wrestling. The strong one is the one who controls himself when angry.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah.
