When to say it
Use this as soon as you lose the meaning. It is more useful than nodding and hoping. Add hadha, meaning this, or follow it with what does this mean to point to the exact problem.
This is practical Modern Standard Arabic. Local speech changes from place to place, but this wording is respectful and widely understood.
