The Tabi'un include Uways al-Qarani, al-Hasan al-Basri and Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib. The generation after them, the Tabi' at-Tabi'in, includes the four imams of fiqh. Together these three generations are the Salaf, the pious predecessors.
