What does Sujud mean?
Prostration, the forehead and nose on the ground, the closest a servant is to Allah.
Sujud explained
Sujud is performed on seven bones: the forehead with the nose, both hands, both knees and the toes of both feet. The worshipper says Subhana Rabbiyal A'la, glory to my Lord the Most High. The Prophet ﷺ said the servant is nearest to his Lord in prostration, so make much du'a in it.
