The adhan announces that the time of a prayer has entered. It was shown to a Companion in a dream and confirmed by the Prophet ﷺ, and Bilal ibn Rabah was its first caller. Listeners repeat its words after the caller and then send salawat on the Prophet ﷺ and ask for him the station of al-Wasilah.
