How Do You Pronounce Lam (ل)?

The sound
The clear English l of lamp and light, tongue tip on the ridge behind the teeth.
In the name of Allah, the lam thickens after a-sounds, Allah is said with a full, deep l. Everywhere else lam stays light and clear.
