Our Lord, give us in this world good and in the Hereafter good, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Anas ibn Malik (RA) reported that this was the du'a the Prophet ﷺ recited most often.

Rabbana la tu'akhidhna in nasina aw akhta'na. Rabbana wa la tahmil 'alayna isran kama hamaltahu 'ala-lladhina min qablina. Rabbana wa la tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bih, wa'fu 'anna, wa-ghfir lana, wa-rhamna, anta Mawlana fa-nsurna 'ala-l-qawmi-l-kafirin.
Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or err. Our Lord, lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, burden us not with what we have no strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so help us against those who reject faith.
The closing two verses of Surat al-Baqarah, whoever recites them at night, they suffice him.

My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people.
Allah (SWT) sets out the wife of Pharaoh as an example for those who believe. Living under a tyrant's roof, she asked first for a home near her Lord, then for rescue from him and his deeds.

And I seek refuge for her in You, and for her descendants, from Satan, the expelled.
The wife of 'Imran said this when her daughter Maryam was born, and her Lord accepted the child with a goodly acceptance (3:37). The words are recited as the verse gives them; their meaning, placing a newborn under Allah's protection, is for every child.

Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.
The Quran describes the believers who came after the first generations as praying in these words for those who went before them in faith.

The request at the heart of al-Fatihah, which follows praise of Allah (SWT) and the pledge to worship Him alone and seek help from Him alone.

Our Lord, send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite Your verses to them, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
The closing part of the du'a of Ibrahim (AS) and Isma'il (AS) at the House, asking Allah (SWT) to send a messenger to their descendants.

Open this dua →ٱللَّهُمَّ مَٰلِكَ ٱلْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِى ٱلْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَنزِعُ ٱلْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَآءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَآءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ ٱلْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ تُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۖ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ۖ وَتَرْزُقُ مَن تَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍۢ

Allahumma Malika-l-mulk, tu'ti-l-mulka man tasha'u wa tanzi'u-l-mulka mimman tasha', wa tu'izzu man tasha'u wa tudhillu man tasha', bi-yadika-l-khayr, innaka 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Tuliju-l-layla fi-n-nahari wa tuliju-n-nahara fi-l-layl, wa tukhriju-l-hayya mina-l-mayyiti wa tukhriju-l-mayyita mina-l-hayy, wa tarzuqu man tasha'u bi-ghayri hisab.
O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honour whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. You cause the night to enter the day and the day to enter the night. You bring the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living, and You give provision to whom You will without measure.
Allah (SWT) commands the Prophet ﷺ to call on Him with these words, affirming that all power, honor and provision are in His hand alone.

My Lord, I have pledged to You what is in my womb, dedicated to Your service, so accept this from me. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.
The wife of 'Imran dedicated the child she was carrying to Allah's service while she was still pregnant.

Rabbana-ghfir lana dhunubana wa israfana fi amrina wa thabbit aqdamana wa-nsurna 'ala-l-qawmi-l-kafirin.
Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, make our feet firm, and give us victory over the disbelieving people.
These were the only words of the many devoted believers who fought alongside earlier prophets and did not weaken at what struck them.

Open this dua →رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلًۭا سُبْحَٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ ٱلنَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُۥ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍۢ رَّبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًۭا يُنَادِى لِلْإِيمَٰنِ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَـَٔامَنَّا ۚ رَبَّنَا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّـَٔاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ رَبَّنَا وَءَاتِنَا مَا وَعَدتَّنَا عَلَىٰ رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۗ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ

Rabbana ma khalaqta hadha batilan, subhanaka fa-qina 'adhaba-n-nar. Rabbana innaka man tudkhili-n-nara fa-qad akhzaytah, wa ma li-dh-dhalimina min ansar. Rabbana innana sami'na munadiyan yunadi li-l-imani an aminu bi-Rabbikum fa-amanna. Rabbana fa-ghfir lana dhunubana wa kaffir 'anna sayyi'atina wa tawaffana ma'a-l-abrar. Rabbana wa atina ma wa'adtana 'ala rusulika wa la tukhzina yawma-l-qiyamah, innaka la tukhlifu-l-mi'ad.
Our Lord, You did not create this without purpose. Exalted are You, so protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Our Lord, whoever You admit to the Fire, You have disgraced him, and the wrongdoers will have no helpers. Our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith, saying, 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins, remove from us our misdeeds, and cause us to die among the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in Your promise.
Those who remember Allah (SWT) standing, sitting and lying down and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth say this, and in the next verse their Lord answers them.

Rabbana akhrijna min hadhihi-l-qaryati-dh-dhalimi ahluha, wa-j'al lana min ladunka waliyya, wa-j'al lana min ladunka nasira.
Our Lord, take us out of this town whose people are oppressors, and appoint for us from Yourself a protector, and appoint for us from Yourself a helper.
Allah (SWT) cites this cry of oppressed men, women and children when urging the believers to stand up for them.

Musa (AS) said this when his people refused to enter the Holy Land as Allah (SWT) had commanded them.

O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table spread with food from heaven, to be a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, for You are the best of providers.
'Isa (AS) asked this of his Lord when his disciples requested a table spread with food from heaven.

Shu'ayb (AS) said this when the arrogant leaders of his people threatened to expel the believers unless they returned to their religion.

You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the best of those who forgive. And decree for us good in this world and in the Hereafter. Indeed, we have turned back to You.
Musa (AS) said this after the earthquake seized the seventy men he had chosen from his people for the appointed meeting with his Lord.

The few of Musa's people who believed despite their fear of Pharaoh answered his call to rely on Allah (SWT) with these words.

Nuh (AS) said this after Allah (SWT) told him not to ask about his son, who had drowned with the disbelievers.

My Lord, prison is dearer to me than what they invite me to. And if You do not turn their scheme away from me, I might incline toward them and be among the ignorant.
Yusuf (AS) said this when the women of the city pressed him to sin, and his Lord answered him and turned their scheme away.

Rabbi qad ataytani mina-l-mulki wa 'allamtani min ta'wili-l-ahadith, Fatira-s-samawati wa-l-ard, anta waliyyi fi-d-dunya wa-l-akhirah, tawaffani musliman wa alhiqni bi-s-salihin.
My Lord, You have given me a share of sovereignty and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and the earth, You are my Protector in this world and the Hereafter. Let me die a Muslim and join me with the righteous.
Yusuf (AS) prayed this after his family was reunited with him and his childhood dream came true.

Rabbana inni askantu min dhurriyyati bi-wadin ghayri dhi zar'in 'inda baytika-l-muharram, Rabbana li-yuqimu-s-salata fa-j'al af'idatan mina-n-nasi tahwi ilayhim wa-rzuqhum mina-th-thamarati la'allahum yashkurun.
Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your Sacred House, our Lord, so that they may establish prayer. So make the hearts of people incline toward them, and provide for them from the fruits so that they may be grateful.
Ibrahim (AS) prayed this for the family he had settled beside the Sacred House in a valley without crops.

Our Lord, You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing on the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allah.
Ibrahim (AS) continued his du'a by affirming that Allah (SWT) knows every hidden and open matter.

Rabbi adkhilni mudkhala sidqin wa akhrijni mukhraja sidqin wa-j'al li min ladunka sultanan nasira.
My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit, and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.
Allah (SWT) teaches the Prophet ﷺ these words in the passage that also commands him to pray at night.

Rabbi inni wahana-l-'adhmu minni wa-shta'ala-r-ra'su shayban wa lam akun bi-du'a'ika Rabbi shaqiyya. Wa inni khiftu-l-mawaliya min wara'i wa kanati-mra'ati 'aqiran fa-hab li min ladunka waliyya, yarithuni wa yarithu min ali Ya'qub, wa-j'alhu Rabbi radiyya.
My Lord, my bones have weakened and my head has filled with white, and never have I been disappointed in my supplication to You, my Lord. I fear for those who will succeed me, and my wife has been barren, so grant me from Yourself an heir who will inherit from me and from the family of Ya'qub, and make him, my Lord, pleasing to You.
Zakariyya (AS) called on his Lord privately in his old age, and Allah (SWT) gave him the good news of Yahya (AS).

Nuh (AS) said this after his people called him mad and rejected his message; a later messenger says the same words in verse 39.

Our Lord, turn away from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever binding. Indeed, it is an evil place to settle and to stay.
Allah (SWT) lists this du'a among the qualities of the servants of the Most Merciful, alongside their night prayer.

Ibrahim (AS) prayed this after declaring to his father and his people that he worshipped only the Lord of the worlds.

Nuh (AS) prayed this after his people threatened to stone him if he did not stop calling them.

My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteous deeds that please You. And admit me by Your mercy among Your righteous servants.
Sulayman (AS) said this, smiling, after he understood the words of an ant warning the other ants about his army.

Allah (SWT) commands the Prophet ﷺ to call on Him with these words, in a passage about those who recoil when Allah (SWT) alone is mentioned.

Rabbana wasi'ta kulla shay'in rahmatan wa 'ilman fa-ghfir li-lladhina tabu wa-ttaba'u sabilaka wa qihim 'adhaba-l-jahim. Rabbana wa adkhilhum jannati 'adnini-llati wa'adtahum wa man salaha min aba'ihim wa azwajihim wa dhurriyyatihim, innaka anta-l-'Azizu-l-Hakim. Wa qihimu-s-sayyi'at, wa man taqi-s-sayyi'ati yawma'idhin fa-qad rahimtah, wa dhalika huwa-l-fawzu-l-'adheem.
Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way, and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire. Our Lord, admit them to the Gardens of Eternity which You have promised them, along with whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise. And protect them from evil consequences. Whoever You protect from evil consequences on that Day, You have shown him mercy, and that is the great success.
Allah (SWT) reveals that the angels who carry the Throne, and those around it, ask forgiveness for the believers in these words.

Our Lord, upon You we have relied, to You we have turned, and to You is the final return. Our Lord, do not make us a trial for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Allah (SWT) holds up Ibrahim (AS) and those with him as an excellent example, and this was their du'a after they separated from their people's idol worship.
