أَدْعِيَةُ الشِّفَاءِ وَالْعَافِيَةِ
Authentic supplications for illness, healing, ruqyah, anxiety, and complete wellbeing.
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، اشْفِهِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
Allahumma Rabba-n-nas, adhhibi-l-ba's, ishfihi wa Anta-sh-Shafi. La shifa'a illa shifa'uk, shifa'an la yughadiru saqama.
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the suffering and heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.

As'alu-llaha-l-'Adheem, Rabba-l-'Arshi-l-'Adheem, an yashfiyak.
I ask Allah the Magnificent, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to cure you.

Open this dua →بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ، مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنِ حَاسِدٍ، اللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ، بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ
Bismi-llahi arqik, min kulli shay'in yu'dhik, min sharri kulli nafsin aw 'ayni hasid. Allahu yashfik. Bismi-llahi arqik.
In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye. May Allah cure you. In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you.

Open this dua →اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ، وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina-l-hammi wa-l-hazan, wa-l-'ajzi wa-l-kasal, wa-l-jubni wa-l-bukhl, wa dala'i-d-dayn, wa ghalabati-r-rijal.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, incapacity and laziness, cowardice and miserliness, the burden of debt, and being overpowered by people.

Open this dua →بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ
Bismillah (three times). A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir (seven times).
In the name of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah and in His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear.
Taught to 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As when he complained of pain: place your hand where it hurts, say Bismillah three times, then the refuge seven times.

Open this dua →أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
A'udhu bi-kalimati-llahi-t-tammah, min kulli shaytanin wa hammah, wa min kulli 'aynin lammah.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye.
The Prophet ﷺ sought refuge for his grandsons al-Hasan and al-Husayn with these words, and said that Ibrahim (AS) sought refuge with them for Isma'il and Ishaq (AS).

Open this dua →يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, bi-rahmatika astaghith.
O Ever-Living, O Sustainer of all, in Your mercy I seek relief.
Anas reported that whenever a matter distressed the Prophet ﷺ, he would say this. Al-Albani graded it hasan; at-Tirmidhi described its chain as gharib (narrated through a single line).

Open this dua →اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika mina-l-'ajzi wa-l-kasal, wa-l-jubni wa-l-haram, wa a'udhu bika min fitnati-l-mahya wa-l-mamat, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabi-l-qabr.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and frail old age. I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave.
Anas reported that the Prophet ﷺ used to say this. He ﷺ named laziness among the things he sought refuge from, so asking Allah (SWT) for energy in worship and in work follows his example.
