إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ يُجْمَعُ خَلْقُهُ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا نُطْفَةً، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ عَلَقَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ مُضْغَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ يُرْسَلُ إِلَيْهِ الْمَلَكُ فَيَنْفُخُ فِيهِ الرُّوحَ
Transliteration
Inna ahadakum yujma'u khalquhu fi batni ummihi arba'ina yawman nutfah, thumma yakunu 'alaqatan mithla dhalik, thumma yakunu mudghatan mithla dhalik, thumma yursalu ilayhi-l-malaku fa-yanfukhu fihi-r-ruh.
Translation
Each of you is gathered in the womb of his mother for forty days as a drop, then a clinging form for the same period, then a morsel of flesh for the same period; then an angel is sent to him and breathes the soul into him.
