إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْحَسَدَ فَإِنَّ الْحَسَدَ يَأْكُلُ الْحَسَنَاتِ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ الْحَطَبَ
Transliteration

Iyyakum wa-l-hasad, fa-inna-l-hasada ya'kulu-l-hasanati kama ta'kulu-n-naru-l-hatab.

Translation

Beware of envy — for envy consumes good deeds as fire consumes wood.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah·Sunan Abi Dawud 4903 (hasan)
