Spread salam to spread love

Monday, November 28, 1988

Transliteration

Afshu-s-salama baynakum.

Translation

By the One in whose hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not guide you to something that, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread salam among yourselves.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah·Sahih Muslim 54
Reflection

A small word, said often, said to strangers, is the recipe for community. The Prophet ﷺ told us to spread it like a public good.

One saying of the Prophet ﷺ a day.

Pair this with the daily verse, the 99 Names, and a few beads of dhikr. Small things, repeated, leave the deepest mark.
