Everything is good for the believer

Sunday, July 5, 1981

Transliteration

'Ajaban li-amri-l-mu'min, inna amrahu kullahu khayr, wa laysa dhaka li-ahadin illa li-l-mu'min: in asabat-hu sarra'u shakara fa-kana khayran lah, wa in asabat-hu darra'u sabara fa-kana khayran lah.

Translation

How wonderful is the affair of the believer, everything about him is good, and that is for no one except the believer. If good comes, he is grateful, and that is good for him. If harm comes, he is patient, and that is good for him.

Narrated by Suhayb ar-Rumi·Sahih Muslim 2999

One saying of the Prophet ﷺ a day.

Pair this with the daily verse, the 99 Names, and a few beads of dhikr. Small things, repeated, leave the deepest mark.
