No iman without trustworthiness

Friday, July 14, 1978

لَا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ، وَلَا دِينَ لِمَنْ لَا عَهْدَ لَهُ

Transliteration

La imana li-man la amanata lah, wa la dina li-man la 'ahda lah.

Translation

There is no faith for the one who is not trustworthy, and no religion for the one who does not keep his word.

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik·Musnad Ahmad 12383 (hasan)
