Hadith for · trials

Nothing of a Muslim is wasted

Friday, September 24, 1976

Transliteration

Translation

No fatigue, illness, anxiety, grief, harm, or distress afflicts a Muslim, even a thorn that pricks him, except that Allah expiates by it some of his sins.

Narrated by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah·Sahih al-Bukhari 5641, Sahih Muslim 2573
Reflection

Every minor irritation is accounting for something larger. The thorn that pricks. The headache. The traffic. None of it is wasted.
