The believer who recites the Qur'an

Mathalu-l-mu'mini-lladhi yaqra'u-l-Qur'ana mathalu-l-utrujjah, rihuha tayyibun wa ta'muha tayyib, wa mathalu-l-mu'mini-lladhi la yaqra'u-l-Qur'ana mathalu-t-tamrah, la riha laha wa ta'muha hulw.

"The believer who recites the Qur'an is like a citron: its fragrance is sweet and its taste is sweet. The believer who does not recite the Qur'an is like a date: it has no fragrance, but its taste is sweet."

Narrated by Abu Musa al-Ash'ari. Sahih Muslim 797, Sahih al-Bukhari 5020

A short reflection

Both are sweet, because both believe. Recitation adds the fragrance that reaches the people around you. A few ayat a day keeps it.
