Who is really bankrupt

A-tadruna mani-l-muflis?

"Do you know who the bankrupt one is? They said: One who has neither money nor goods. He said: The bankrupt of my Ummah is one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with prayer, fasting, and zakat, but he insulted this one, slandered that one, took the money of this one, spilled the blood of that one, and beat this one. So this one is given some of his good deeds, and that one is given some. When his good deeds run out before his debts, their sins are loaded onto him and he is thrown into the Fire."

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah. Sahih Muslim 2581

A short reflection

All those rakahs, all those fasts, paid out in compensation to people he wronged. The richest man in the masjid can leave the gathering empty-handed.
