Begin with bismillah
يَا غُلَامُ، سَمِّ اللَّهَ، وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ، وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ
Ya ghulam, sammi-llah, wa kul bi-yaminik, wa kul mimma yalik.
"O young man, mention the name of Allah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is in front of you."

A short reflection
Three rules taught to a boy at a single meal, by the Prophet ﷺ. We are still teaching them to children today, one bismillah at a time.
