Parents in their old age
Raghima anf, thumma raghima anf, thumma raghima anf. Qila: man ya Rasula-llah? Qal: man adraka abawayhi 'inda-l-kibar, ahadahuma aw kilayhima, fa-lam yadkhuli-l-jannah.
"May his nose be in the dust, then may his nose be in the dust, then may his nose be in the dust. It was asked: Who, O Messenger of Allah? He said: The one who sees his parents reach old age, one or both of them, and still does not enter Paradise."
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah. Sahih Muslim 2551
A short reflection
Elderly parents are an open door to Paradise. A call, a meal, a little patience with the same story told twice: each one is walking through it.
