Hasten to good deeds

Badiru bi-l-a'mali fitanan ka-qita'i-l-layli-l-mudhlim, yusbihu-r-rajulu mu'minan wa yumsi kafira, aw yumsi mu'minan wa yusbihu kafira, yabi'u dinahu bi-'aradin mina-d-dunya.

"Hasten to do good deeds before trials come like pieces of a dark night, when a man will be a believer in the morning and a disbeliever by evening, or a believer in the evening and a disbeliever by morning, selling his religion for some worldly gain."

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah. Sahih Muslim 118

A short reflection

The good you can do today is safest done today. Hearts change and days get crowded; a deed already done is a deed already kept.
