The fast of Arafah
صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ يُكَفِّرُ السَّنَةَ الْمَاضِيَةَ وَالسَّنَةَ الْآتِيَةَ
Siyamu yawmi 'Arafata yukaffiru-s-sanata-l-madiyata wa-s-sanata-l-atiyah.
"Fasting the day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year."

A short reflection
One day on the calendar. Two years of accounting cleared. For those not standing on Arafat itself, this is the next best place to be.
