The Prophet's ﷺ first-born son was named Qasim. The kunya 'Abu al-Qasim' refers to him.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "You will be called on the Day of Resurrection by your names and the names of your fathers, so make your names beautiful." (Sunan Abi Dawud 4948, hasan).
