Mercy divided into a hundred
Inna lillahi mi'ata rahmah, anzala minha rahmatan wahidatan bayna-l-jinni wa-l-insi wa-l-baha'imi wa-l-hawamm, wa akhkhara tis'an wa tis'ina rahmatan yarhamu biha ibadahu yawma-l-qiyamah.
"Allah has one hundred mercies. He sent down one between the jinn, mankind, the animals, and the insects. The remaining ninety-nine He has kept for the Day of Resurrection, when He will show mercy to His servants."
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah. Sahih al-Bukhari 6469, Sahih Muslim 2752
A short reflection
Every act of kindness you have ever seen between strangers, parents and children, even a cat with her kittens, is a single drop. The reservoir is held in reserve.
